Marcos José da Silva is the new President of the Inter-American Masonic Confederation
The leader of the largest Latin American Masonic Obedience (Grand Orient of Brazil) was elected President of the Inter-American Masonic Confederation, the largest Masonic organization on the continent.

Marcos José da Silva is the Grand Master General of the Grand Orient of Brazil, the oldest Masonic Obedience in Brazil, founded in 1822. GOB is the organization that helped winning Brazil's independence and to transform it into the country of our days.
The General Assembly of the Inter-American Masonic Confederation ended
Yesterday continued the works of IMC's committee and were presented the conclusions. The official closing ceremony of the General Assembly of the Inter-American Masonic Confederation took place at noon and from 15:00 to 17:30 was presented the Charter of Brasilia and took place the final debates. During the evening GOB offered a closing dinner.

Friday were held the IMC committee meetings. The Grand Lodges have discussed issues on the agenda and works were completed at noon. Then followed a sightseeing of Brasilia and during the evening the Grand Orient of Brazil organized a dinner at the Masonic Palace in Brasilia.
